Badgers finish day one in sixth place
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Badgers finished off the first 18 holes of the Cardinal Cup on a good note. Overall, the team sits in sixth place out of 17 team with a 10-over-par 298.
The leading spot for Wisconsin is shared by senior Tess Hackworthy and sophomore Tracy Lee. Both shot a one-over-par score of 73 and are in a 10-way tie for 11th place. Another notable round comes from freshman Emily Lauterbach. Tied for 25th place, she shot a three-over-par 75 for round one. Following up is redshirt junior Eloise Healey at five-over 77 and junior Claire Fitzgerald at six-over 78.
Play picks back up on Saturday morning at 8:50 a.m. for the Badgers with tee times off the 10th hole.
