UW Teddy Bear Toss presented by BMO Harris Bank set for Nov. 16

Adopt-A-Bear is back; All are encouraged to bring teddy bears to throw on the Kohl Center ice for Toys for Tots
MADISON, Wis. — With the holiday season approaching, the third annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by BMO Harris Bank will take place at the Wisconsin men's hockey game versus Notre Dame on Saturday, Nov. 16.
Thanks to a generous soul, over 100 big bears have been donated for adoption to willing "parents" beginning Monday, Nov. 4 and leading up to the Notre Dame series and the #UWTeddyToss. Adoptable bears will be stationed in the Men's Hockey Office inside the Kohl Center and are available to be picked up on a first-come first-served basis between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday-Friday. Â
Those who adopt them can take the bears home, name them and include them as part of their family. Share your time with your bear on social media using #UWTeddyToss until Nov. 16 when they are returned to the Kohl Center and thrown on the ice after the game.
Fans coming to the hockey game are encouraged to bring new teddy bears to toss onto the ice postgame. Those who don't have time to buy one or forget, stuffed animal bears and Bucky Badgers will be available for purchase at Bucky's Locker Room prior to the start of the game.
Through the gift of a teddy bear, our goal is to send a message of hope to the less fortunate. Wisconsin Athletics is proud of its long-standing relationship with the United States Marine Corps and its Toys for Tots campaign, as well as partnering with BMO Harris Bank to make this possible.

In order to throw the teddy bears onto the ice, every stuffed animal must be bagged. Teddy bear bagging-stations will be located at each gate entrance of the Kohl Center. Join Wisconsin Athletics by throwing your bagged teddy bears down onto the ice at the end of the game.
Doors open 90-minutes before the puck drops.
