
Badgers improve two places on day two

NASSAU, Bahamas - The Wisconsin men's golf team has improved to eighth place, moving up two places, after shooting a team total of four-under-par 284 during round two of the White Sands Intercollegiate at Ocean Club Golf Course. Combined with the 287 from yesterday, the Badgers have shot an overall five-under-par 571, tying the team's season low 36-hole score.
Still leading for the Badgers is Nick Robinson, the individual entry. After a record-shattering six-under-par round yesterday, Robinson shot a one-under-par 71 on Saturday, breaking his career low 36-hole score by three strokes. Combining wih yesterday's score, he is at seven-under and tied for fourth place. His second round included three birdies and an eagle.
Overall, the Badgers carded 18 birdies and two eagles throughout the round. Sam Anderson and Griffin Barela both shot a two-under 70. Anderson is tied for ninth and tied his career low 36-hole score at 139. Barela tied for 17th with a 141. Pete Kuhl and Coalter Smtih both shot even par 72 to tie for 35th (144) and 58th (147), respectively.
No. 28 Houston leads the team race with a 36-hole total 557, six strokes ahead of unranked Florida State. No. 2 Wake Forest is currently third with a 564.
