MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team (11-13, 2-10) returns home to face No. 24 Michigan State (17-6, 7-5) for a Thursday night, Valentine's Day showdown. Come celebrate Valentine's day with the Badgers. The game tips off at 7 p.m. from the Kohl Center.
1. LAST TIME OUT: After a week off, the Badgers returned to action on Sunday at Illinois in a back and forth shooting battle with eight ties and 10 lead changes, but the Fighting Illini would pull away in the end to defeat the Badgers, 78-68.
2. CAREER MILESTONES: Senior Marsha Howard played in her 100th career game on Sunday at Illinois. She scored a team-high 19 points, her fourth straight game in double figures. The 6-foot forward is also closing in on 1,000 points in her career, with 961 points.
3. FRESHMAN STANDOUT: Freshman Imani Lewis ranks in the top three for Big Ten freshmen in both scoring and rebounds. The 6-foot-1 freshman has 299 points on the season, averaging 12.5 per game, and has a total 187 boards (7.8 per game).
4. HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: Michigan State leads the all-time series, 44-25, over Wisconsin after winning the past 11 meetings between the two teams. But the Badgers still lead the series in Madison, 18-16, over the Spartans. UW hopes to extend that lead on Thursday at the Kohl Center.

5. SCOUTING THE SPARTANS: Michigan State used a stellar second half to stop Indiana, 77-61, Monday night. Redshirt junior guard Shay Colley scored a career-high 32 points. The Spartans have now won 16-straight home games, dating back to last season.Â
