Senior propels Badgers to top-10 finish at Silverado Showdown
NAPA, Calif. – Junior Tess Hackworthy's top-15 performance led the Wisconsin women's golf team to a strong finish at the Silverado Showdown Tuesday.
Hackworthy was consistent all weekend, finishing the three-round tournament with a 73-73-75= 221 (+5) to earn a share of 11th place at the challenging North Course in Napa, California. It was her best career finish as a Badger.
Senior Nat Zeng joined Hackworthy in the top 25, finishing T23 after shooting a 224 (+8) at the Showdown.
As a team, Wisconsin finished tied for 8th in a strong field that included 11 Top-50 teams.
