Konwent named to USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 25 List

Junior continues to garner accolades for stellar season
MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin Softball's Kayla Konwent has been named to the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 25 List, the organization announced Wednesday.
Konwent, a junior, leads the Big Ten Conference in batting average (.492), slugging percentage (.992), on-base percentage (.601), runs batted in (46) and home runs (15) in her first full season with the Badgers. She is also second in the Big Ten in hits with 61.
Wisconsin's leadoff batter ranks number two nationally in batting average, helping lead Wisconsin to it's fastest 30-win season in school history.
Wisconsin is currently 33-8 and ranked number 25 by USA Softball and ESPN.
