Two Badgers in top 25 after second round
CINCINNATI, Ohio- The Badger men's golf team traveled to Cincinnati on Monday to compete in the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club.
After round one, the Badgers sat in a three-way tie for sixth place at five-over-par 289 strokes. The team was led by three players. Juniors Sam Anderson and Griffin Barela and freshman Sebastian Iqbal all shot a one-over-par 72, followed by redshirt junior Nick Robinson shooting a two-over-par 73 and freshman Coalter Smith shooting a three-over-par 74.

Round two saw the Badgers shoot six-over-par 290 strokes for a total of 11-over-par 579 through the two rounds to tie for eighth.
Leading the Badgers are Anderson and Iqbal. Both shot 72 in the first and second rounds to finish the day at two-over-par 144 to tie for 24th . Iqbal shot a career low 36-hole score.
Next up is Barela, who finished the second round at two-over-par 73 to total a five-over-par 145 and a share at 32nd place for the day. He is followed by Smith coming in with a two-over-par 74 to finish the day tied for 45th with a five-over-par 147, a career low 36-hole score. Robinson sits tied for 56th after a five-over-par round of 76 to total seven-over-par 149 to finish up the day.
The Badgers tee off tomorrow morning at 8:45 a.m. for the second round. Live stats can be found on Golfstat.
