Badgers fall to the Spartans, 52-69
EAST LANSING, MICH.- The Badgers fell to the Spartans on Sunday afternoon. The final score was 52-69.
Badger leader Imani Lewis recorded her sixth consecutive double-double against Michigan state. She had 12 points and 13 rebounds, leading in both categories. She is now the sole holder of third place for consecutive double-doubles and is one away from entering the top ten for career double-doubles.
Abby Laszewski also scored in double-digits with 11 points. She put up two blocks as well.
Still chasing the leaderboards as well, Suzanne Gilreath went 2-4 from behind the arc, taking over fifth place for career made three-pointers with 193.
The Spartans were led in scoring by Nia Clouden with 20 points. The next closest was Tory Ozmet and Alyza Winston, both with eight points. Julia Ayrault led in rebounds with six.
Wisconsin will be returning home for their next two games, first to host Michigan on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m., then Iowa on Jan. 19, celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day, at 2 p.m.
