MADISON, Wis. - The 16th-ranked Wisconsin men's track and field team will separate and travel to both Indiana for the Indiana Relays and Minnesota for the Jack Johnson Classic. Sprinters, middle distance and distance runners as well as horizontal jumpers will head to Indiana while multi-event athletes and vertical jumpers will travel to Minnesota. Events at Indiana begin at 5 p.m. ET on Friday and at 9:05 a.m. ET on Saturday. Events at Minnesota begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

1. LAST WEEK: Austin Glynn set a big personal record in the weight throw for himself and Wisconsin. Glynn threw 65 feet, 4 1/4 inches at the Jack Jennett Open in Cedar Falls, Iowa, last Friday, which won him the event and landed him a No. 5 spot on the Wisconsin all-time indoor performance list.
2. OLLI'S OPEN: Senior Olli Hoare will make his 2020 indoor track debut at the Indiana Relays. Hoare was named to The Bowerman preseason watch list, which is the highest honor bestowed to collegiate track and field's most outstanding athletes of the year. The Australia native was also invited to the Millrose Games, the world's longest-running and most prestigious indoor track and field competition, on Feb. 8 in New York. Fun fact, Hoare also holds the school-record and the Big Ten record in the indoor mile with a time of 3:54.83.
3. RANKINGS: USTFCCCA released new national and regional rankings on Monday. The Badgers are now ranked 16th nationally and 11th in the Great Lakes Region.
4. LAST TIME INDIANA RELAYS: The Badgers competed last year at the Indiana Relays and had two first-place finishes. Olli Hoare won the 3,000 meters in a time of 7:48.81. Peyton Frankenreider won the long jump with a mark of 23-4 3/4. The Badgers did not compete at the Jack Johnson Classic last year.
5. UP NEXT: Badger sprinters and horizontal jumpers head to South Bend, Indiana, to compete in the Meyo Invitational from Feb. 7-8. Throwers travel to Ripon, Wisconsin, to compete in the Red Hawk Invitational on Feb. 8. Seniors Olli Hoare and Alicia Monson travel to New York to compete at the Millrose Games on Feb. 8.
