Mueller earns U.S. Men’s National Team senior camp call-up

Orlando City SC star becomes first Badger invited to USMNT
MADISON, Wis. – Former Wisconsin Badger Chris Mueller, a two-time All-American, is the first UW men's soccer play to earn an invitation to the U.S. Men's National Team, head coach Gregg Berhalter announced on Monday.
Mueller will join 21 others in training camp in South Florida ahead of USA-El Salvador on Dec. 9. Kickoff for the USMNT's first match at the home of Inter Miami CF in Fort Lauderdale is set for 6:30 p.m. CT. It will broadcast live on an ESPN Network, UniMás and TUDN.
Mueller starred for the MLS' Orlando City SC this season, tying for fifth in the league with 10 goals and sharing 10th in the league with seven assists in 22 games played. Orlando City SC reached the MLS Eastern Conference semifinals, before bowing out on Sunday.
The third-year pro stood out at Wisconsin, and helped the Badgers to the 2017 Big Ten Tournament title as the 2017 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.
Mueller is one of nine players named to their first USMNT camp and 11 who have the opportunity to earn their first cap.
