Badgers recognize wrestling seniors
MADISON, Wis. -- Taylor Watkins transferred to Wisconsin for his senior season after spending the first part of his career at the University of Missouri. He competed in one of the Big Ten's toughest weight classes and picked up three conference wins. Watkins took fourth place in the Cougar Clash tournament and picked up his first dual win in a Badger singlet at Indiana. Following graduation, Wakins will be finishing his master's degree and is aiming to get into the Army's physician's assistant program.

"Being a Badger is very important to me. I'm very grateful to be able to represent an institution and state that I never pictured myself even stepping foot in!"
Â
What has been the best part of wrestling?Â
"Honestly, the best memories have just been with my teammates."
Â
What are your post-graduation plans?Â
"Post-graduation I am planning on joining the Army. That's something I've always wanted and planned to do. I am hoping to get into the Army's physician's assistant program."
Â
What lessons has wrestling taught you?Â
"Wrestling has taught me endless lessons. But I'd say the biggest one would have to be to never quit no matter how hard something gets. Always see it through to the end!"
