Four current Badgers invited to Team Canada’s virtual training
MADISON, Wis. -- Four current Wisconsin women's hockey players will attend a virtual training camp this summer with Canada's National Women's Program, the program announced Monday.
Senior forwards Brette Pettet from Kentville, Nova Scotia, and Daryl Watts from Toronto will join Sophie, a junior, and Grace Shirley, a sophomore, from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Team Canada.

Fifty players were chosen in total to attend the virtual development camp and meet twice a week until university classes resume in the fall.
Athletes will participate in at-home strength and conditioning plans, mental performance plans and check-ins, nutrition, dry-land skills, skating simulations, team-building activities, short-term international competition preparation and one-on-one coaching to continue their Team Canada experience in preparation for potential future international tournaments.
