
Triple threat: Three Badgers earn WCHA weekly honors

Watts, Bowlby and Eden all win WCHA awards
MADISON, Wis.— The Wisconsin women's hockey team brought home three of the four WCHA weekly honors on Tuesday afternoon as Daryl Watts was named the WCHA Forward of the Week, Grace Bowlby garnered the WCHA Defenseman of the Week and Lacey Eden earned WCHA Rookie of the Week honors.Â
Watts earned Forward of the Week for the third time this season after scoring three points to tie for the weekend lead in the WCHA for points. She scored two goals, including Friday's game-winning goal. With the points, the Toronto, Ontario, native extended her goal streak to seven games, the fourth longest in school history. She tied the WCHA lead in points with three, goals with two, game-winning goals with one and a +3 plus/minus rating. .
Bowlby earned Defenseman of the Week for the third time this season after posting two points and two assists to lead WCHA blueliners. She tied the league lead plus/minus with a +2. The Edina, Minnesota, native is on a seven-game point streak after assisting the game-winning goal in Friday's game and putting up another helper in Saturday's game.
Eden has earned Rookie of the Week for the second time in less than a month with the Badgers. The freshman posted two points at Minnesota with her first multi-assist game on Friday. She had a +1 plus/minus rating which tied for best by a WCHA rookie.
The Badgers wrap up their home schedule this weekend as Bemidji State comes to town. Puck drop on both Friday and Saturday is set for 2 p.m.Â
