Grace Bowlby took home another honor on Monday, as the senior was named the WCHA Defenseman of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.
It marks the fifth time this year Bowlby, who leads all WCHA defensemen in scoring with 15 points, has been named the WCHA Defenseman of the Week.
Bowlby posted a pair of assists, including the assist on UW's game-tying goal, in Wisconsin's 4-3 comeback overtime win on Saturday that clinched UW's ninth WCHA regular season title and the program's fifth crown in the last six years.
A native of Edina, Minnesota, Bowlby's 15 assists this year rank second in the WCHA behind only teammate
Daryl Watts.
Bowlby and the Badgers are scheduled to begin postseason play against Minnesota at the 2021 WCHA Final Faceoff on Saturday afternoon. Puck drop on Saturday is set for 1 p.m. (CT) as fans can watch the game live on FloHockey or listen to it on Fox Sports 1070 AM.
