Stricker leads Wisconsin at Clemson Invitational

Badgers finish in 15th ahead of No. 33 ranked Furman
SUNSET, S.C. — Wisconsin finished 15th in the Clemson Invitational at The Reserve at Lake Keowee on Sunday after shooting a 38-over-par 902.
Storm delays caused formatting of the tournament to change around. On Friday, the teams golfed 27 holes. Sunday the teams attempted to play the second 27 holes but storms caused a delay with just four holes left to play. Teams played the final holes early Sunday morning.
Through the first 18 holes, Claire Fitzgerald led, shooting a four-over-par 76. The team shot a 313 (+25).
After the extra nine holes, Nicole Ciskowski led the team at +5, shooting two-under-par through the nine holes.
Saturday morning the teams began early, finishing the second nine holes of round two. Bobbi Stricker and Ciskowski finished the round leading the Badgers at +7 each after both shooting an even-par 72.
The team as a whole improved 20 strokes from the first round to the second round, shooting a 293 (+5).
Sophomore Nicole Ciskowski shot a 54-hole career-low of 227, beating her previous best of 229 which she shot at the Westbrook Invitational last season.
Bobbi Stricker led the Badgers to finish, shooting a second even-par round of 72 to total 223 (+7).
"Even though we didn't finish how we would've liked, I feel we should be proud of the good things we did," said Stricker. "We are really on the right track, there were a lot of positives to take from this weekend."
Next up, the team is headed to Sellersburg, Indiana on April 4-5 for the Indiana Spring Challenge at Covered Bridge Golf Club.
