MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men's tennis team concluded its regular season Sunday in a victorious fashion, earning a 4-2 win over Nebraska on Senior Day at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
Seniors Robert Krill and Jesper Freimuth were honored prior to the start of the match and were both key to the Badgers' triumph.
Wisconsin (5-12, 5-11 Big Ten) got off to a momentous start by winning the doubles point. Freimuth and Lenard Soha locked in their eighth doubles win of the season with their 6-2 victory over Nic Wiedenhorn and Shunya Maruyama at the No. 2 position. Jared Pratt and Robin Parts then clinched the doubles point with their 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
Parts was the first singles victor for the Badgers with his 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) over Victor Moreno at No. 3 singles, while Pratt clinched the match for Wisconsin after he battled to win a third-set tiebreaker to claim his match 7-6 (7-1), 4-6, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 1 singles
In between, Krill wrapped up his career at Nielsen with a straight-sets win over Wiedenhorn at the fifth position.

Head coach Danny Westerman: "The guys have been battling all year but, unfortunately, we have not come through many of the close ones. Today, the guys stepped up and handled the close moments very well. I'm very happy to finish the regular season and Senior Day with a hard-fought win."

The Badgers travel to Lincoln, Neb., to compete in the Big Ten tournament from April 29 to May 2. The bracket will be released in the coming days.
