Â
Players on the Collegiate National Team, selected by the U.S. Women's National Team staff and National Team Development Program (NTDP), will work with top volleyball coaches at USAV's Anaheim training center. Athletes will receive evaluation, feedback and individual development plans. Â All training will align with the expectations of the U.S. Women's National Team's coaches and staff.
Â
Rettke is a four-time American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) first-team All-American, the first Badger ever to earn four first-team awards and just the sixth player ever. The 6-foot-8 middle blocker from Riverside, Illinois, is also a four-time Big Ten Conference first-team honoree and was the 2019 Big Ten Player of the Year as well as the 2019-20 Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year. She was a 10-time Big Ten Player of the Week, setting the UW record for most career POW honors.
As a freshman, Robinson earned third-team AVCA All-America honors and first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2020-21. The 6-foot-2 right-side hitter led the Badgers with a .426 hitting percentage, ranking third on the team with 2.71 kills per set. The Ankeny, Iowa, native also ranked second on the UW team with 1.02 blocks per set. She was the only Badger named to the 2020-21 NCAA Championship All-Tournament team, averaging 2.93 kills and 1.43 blocks per set in four NCAA tournament matches.
