Badgers play host to 11 regular-season games at McClimon Soccer Complex
2021 Wisconsin Men's Soccer Schedule
MADISON, Wis. – The 2021 Wisconsin men's soccer season is on the horizon, and now we know what the schedule will look like for the upcoming season.
"Really pleased to announce our 2021 schedule with many exciting matchups this coming fall," head coach John Trask said. "With 11 home matches, and a pair of home exhibitions, our fans will get to see this Badger team compete against some outstanding programs at McClimon Soccer Complex."
The Badgers open the regular season on Thursday, Aug. 20, against SIU-Edwardsville at McClimon Soccer Complex beginning 5 p.m. That is the first of 16 regular-season contests.
The Big Ten tournament is slated for the first two weekends of November.
Before the games count in the record, Wisconsin will get three exhibition games, including on Aug. 10 at Forward Madison FC. Wisconsin and Forward Madison FC played an exhibition contest at McClimon in August of 2019 before the Badgers opened that campaign.
"Our season begins with a great opportunity to play an exhibition against Forward Madison FC, our professional soccer team at historic Breese Stevens Stadium," Trask said.
UW opens Big Ten play with a trip to Michigan State on Sept. 17.
"We open our season with some excellent non-conference matchups featuring some of the best teams in the Midwest including in-state rival UW-Green Bay and SIU-E," Trask added. "The opportunity to test ourselves against top Big East-performers Butler and DePaul along with perennially-strong Western Michigan will help the group prepare for a full slate of Big Ten matches."
The 2021 schedule is subject to change.
