MADISON, Wis. – UW men's soccer is coming off its most successful week of the season after marking back-to-back wins over Butler and No. 18/9 Marquette and opens Big Ten play with Friday's game at McClimon against Michigan State at 7:30 p.m.
It's Been Awhile – Wisconsin's two wins this week marks the first time the program has won a pair of contests in a row since 2018 when they won four games to finish conference play.
Finnegan Soars – The sophomore forward finally got his first goal as a Badger. His 108th minute strike was the golden goal in Monday night's match at Marquette. Finnegan also notched an assist on Tim Bielic's game winning goal against Butler last Friday.
Abbott Keeping It Clean – Carter Abbott kept opponents empty handed in both matches this past week. The sophomore goalie leads the conference in save percentage (.875) and is second in goals against average (.407) and shutouts per game (.400). He has not allowed a goal in the past 224 minutes of play.
Badgers Control Series – Wisconsin leads the all-time series against Michigan State 23-13-7. The last win for UW over the Spartans came in 2018 in East Lansing, 1-0.
Student Night – Wisconsin Athletics invites all students to come cheer on the Badgers as they look to continue their winning streak against the Spartans. All students with a valid Wiscard will receive a free replica jersey while supplies last.

Kickoff for Friday night's match is set for 7:30 p.m. and the game will be nationally televised on Big Ten Network. Admission is free.
