Rowe, Ahcan earn individual accolades as season approaches

MADISON, Wis. – Defending Big Ten regular-season champion Wisconsin men's hockey was picked to finish third in the 2021-22 Big Ten hockey preseason coaches' poll, the conference announced on Friday.
Wisconsin opens its season on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8 and 9, against Michigan Tech at the Kohl Center (Buy Tickets). UW begins Big Ten play on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 28 and 29, at Michigan, which was picked to finish second.
Minnesota is the preseason favorite.
A pair of Badgers, led by sophomore Cameron Rowe, earned preseason All-Big Ten honors. Rowe was picked as the second-team goaltender. He was joined by senior forward Roman Ahcan, who earned honorable mention recognition.
The Preseason All-Big Ten teams are comprised of six players on each team: three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender.
