Hamiti, Gomez and Barnett earn wins in Big Ten dual match
MADISON, Wis. — No. 8 Wisconsin suffered its first team loss of the Big Ten dual match season with a tough 22-12 result to visiting No. 13 Nebraska at the UW Field House on Friday.
Three Badgers - Dean Hamiti, Austin Gomez and Eric Barnett - all earned wins in their respective weight classes, but the Badgers struggled in tight bouts against the Huskers.
No. 8 Hamiti, a true freshman, needed only 1:51 to collect a pin against Nebraska's Bubba Wilson at 165 pounds. His fifth pin of the season, the true freshman is now an impressive 15-0 overall and has won 13 of 15 of his matches by bonus points.
