Aas and Huss top finishers for Badgers with +10 to T46

RIVER HILLS, Wis. — After three rounds of play, Wisconsin finished 11th out of 15 teams at the 2022 Marquette Intercollegiate at the Milwaukee Country Club. The team carded an 874 (288+289+297) to place them at 34 above par. The team was led by Daniel Aas and Cameron Huss who each shot a +10 to T46.

Monday, Oct. 3

End of Round 2

Round two continued and was completed on Monday morning. Daniel Aas led the team in round two, shooting one under par with five birdies. Behind Aas was Coalter Smith with a +2, improving his score by eight strokes from the first round. Cameron Huss ended with a +3, Maxime Legros with a +5 and Clayton Tribus rounded up the lineup with a +11. Individual Max Schwarz completed his round with a +6.

Round 3

Tribus led the Badgers in round three with a +2, improving his score by nine strokes from round two. The senior ended with a +13 to T63. Huss and Legros both shot a +4 in the final round, placing Huss with a +10 to T46 and Legros with a +11 to T52. Competing as an individual, Max Schwarz also shot a +4 in the third round, ending with a +16 to T74. Coalter Smith finished his round with a +7 to put his total score at +19, placing him at T79. Daniel Aas shot a +8 in the final round, leading him to a score of +10 and T46.

Sunday, Oct. 2

The Badgers began the Marquette Intercollegiate with two rounds on Sunday, with the second round being suspended Sunday night due to darkness. At the time of play being suspended, Wisconsin found themselves in 7th at +16. Max Schwarz, who is competing individually, finished before play was stopped, while the rest of the team has 1-3 rounds of play left.

Round 1

Clayton Tribus led the Badgers after the first round of play, shooting E and T10. Fellow senior, Maxime Legros, was not far behind with a +2 to T27. The two have found themselves leading the team this season, both having top-20 finishes at the Badger Invitational and Northwestern's Windon Classic. Cameron Huss and Daniel Aas both shot a +3 to T38, while Coalter Smith ended the round +10 and T81. As an individual, Max Schwarz shot a +6 to T66.

Round 2

Round two of play remains incomplete and will be finished tomorrow before round three begins. Daniel Aas is currently leading the Badgers, with a -1 (thru 17). Also improving their score in the second round is Cameron Huss, who is shooting a +1 (thru 15) and Coalter Smith with a +3 (thru 16). Rounding up the lineup is Maxime Legros with a +5 (thru 17) and Clayton Tribus with a +12 (thru 15).

The only Badger to finish was Max Schwarz, who tallied a +9 to put his total score at +15, placing him in 81st. Current positions and scores, which include round one and what has been completed of round 2, are shown in the table below.
