Wisconsin wins five events against Sun Devils
TEMPE, Ariz, -- The 20th-ranked Wisconsin men's swimming and diving team fell to the No. 5 Arizona State, 183-112, on Saturday afternoon. The Badgers, who won five events against the Sun Devils, are 1-1 this season.
Junior Daniel Muller was a double-event winning, claiming both diving events. He won the 1-meter with 319.80 points and the 3-meter with 332.48 points.
Junior Jake Newmark was also a two-time winner, touching in 4 minutes, 22.58 seconds to claim the 500 free. He also teamed with Andrew Benson, Ben Wiegand, and Taiko Torepe-Ormsby to win the 200 free relay in 1:18.30.
Sophomore Matthew Segal won the 200 breaststroke in 1:59.92 and finished second in the 100 breast in 54.93.
Second-place finishers were Newmark in the 200 free (1:35.72), Wes Jekel in the 200 back (47.82), Dominik Torok in the 200 fly (1:48.82) and in the 400 IM (3:58.94).
