Seven former Badgers chosen to play in 2022-23 Rivalry Series

Two representing USA, five with Canada
MADISON, Wis. -- Seven Wisconsin women's hockey alum have been chosen to represent both the United States and Canada in the 2022-23 Rivalry Series in November and December. Team USA announced their rosters on Tuesday, while Hockey Canada followed up with their roster on Wednesday.
Last having won silver at the 2022 IIHF Women's World Championship in August, Hilary Knight and Abby Roque have been selected to play in the third-ever Rivalry Series with Team USA. Knight has competed in all three series, while this is Roque's second appearance in the matchups against Canada.
Both Badgers were a part of national championship teams while at Wisconsin, with Knight having won in 2009 and 2011, and Roque in 2019. The pair played together in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games where the United States won silver. In addition to the 2022 silver medal, Knight has one gold (2018) and two other silvers (2010, 2014) in her collection.
Competing on the roster for Canada is Kristen Campbell, Emily Clark, Ann-Renee Desbiens, Sarah Nurse and Blayre Turnbull, each having just won gold medals together at the 2022 IIHF Women's World Championship and 2022 Olympic Winter Games. Additionally, Clark, Desbiens, Nurse and Turnbull each represented Canada in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, where they won silver.
The Rivalry Series features multiple contests between long-time rivals USA and Canada and includes three games in November and one in December with the possibility of more games being added. The series begins on Nov. 15, at Prospera Place in Kelowna, B.C.

Sunday, November 20 - Seattle, Wash.
Thursday, December 15 - Henderson, Nev.
