
Hockey Canada announces roster for second leg of Rivalry Series

Five former Badgers to continue playing in series
MADISON, Wis. – Five Wisconsin women's hockey alum have been chosen to represent Team Canada in the second leg of the 2022-23 Rivalry Series in December, Hockey Canada announced on Wednesday.
Competing on the roster for Canada is Kristen Campbell, Emily Clark, Ann-Renee Desbiens, Sarah Nurse and Blayre Turnbull, all of which played in the first three games of the series in November.
Canada is currently down three games in the series, having lost each November game. Nurse leads the Canadian Badgers with two points, while Clark and Turnbull each have a point. Campbell was in net for game two, stopping 33 of the 34 shots against her, while Desbiens stopped 25 of the 29 shots against her in game three.
All five of these former Badgers recently won gold medals together at the 2022 IIHF Women's World Championship and 2022 Olympic Winter Games. Additionally, Clark, Desbiens, Nurse and Turnbull each represented Canada in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, where they won silver.
The rivalry continues on Dec. 15, 2022, in Henderson, Nevada at The Dollar Loan Center, and on Dec. 19, 2022, in Los Angeles, California at Crypto.com Arena. The game on Thursday, Dec. 15 will start at 9 p.m. CT while the December series finale will begin at 10 p.m. CT and both games can be seen live on NHL Network.
