Four Badgers find the scoresheet

BEIJING -- Four former Wisconsin women's hockey players found the scoresheet in the quarterfinal round to help the U.S. and Canada advance to the semifinals at the 2022 Winter Olympics. 

Hilary Knight scored Team USA's first goal and added an assist in its 4-1 win over Czechia on Thursday night. Former UW netminder Alex Cavallini earned her second win of the Olympics, stopping five shots in the quarterfinal clash.

Sarah Nurse recorded four assists while Emily Clark and Blayre Turnbull each scored in Canada's 11-0 triumph over Sweden. Nurse now has 12 points, which is tied for the second-most points at the 2022 Winter Olympics while her +12 plus/minus rating also is the second-best mark at the tournament. 

The first semifinal of the 2022 Winter Olympics is set for Sunday at 10:10 p.m. CT and the second semifinal will take place on Monday at 7:10 a.m. CT.
