
Blair named semifinalist for HCA Goalie of the Year

Fifth-year goaltender earned prestigious honor for second-straight year
MADISON, Wis. – For the second-straight year, Wisconsin women's hockey netminder Kennedy Blair has been named a semifinalist for the Hockey Commissioner's Association Women's Goalie of the Year, the group announced on Tuesday.
A native of Bismarck, North Dakota, Blair ranks second in the country in wins with 20, including six against ranked teams, while her six shutouts are tied for the third-most by a goaltender in the NCAA.
Blair's 1.50 goals-against average also ranks in the top-10 in the country and third in the WCHA.
She has been named the WCHA Goaltender of the Week three times this year and was the WCHA Goaltender of the Month for October.
Blair and the fourth-ranked Badgers open postseason play this weekend against Bemidji State in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs. Puck drop on Friday at LaBahn Arena is set for 7 p.m., Saturday's game starts at 3 p.m. and Sunday's game, if necessary, starts at 2 p.m.
