Badgers head to Council Fire Club
MADISON, Wis. -Â Wisconsin is competing in the Chattanooga Classic on March 27-29 at Council Fire Club.
Here are five things to know before the team tees off.
1. Last Time Out: The Badgers finished T14 at the Briar's Creek Invitational earlier this month. Mackenzie Hahn recorded her second-straight top-20 finish to lead Wisconsin. Her final score of 220 (+4) saw her card a T18 finish.
2. The Course: Council Fire Club is a private course located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Built by Bob Cupp in 1992, this course features Bermuda grass with plenty of natural water and views of nearby mountains. Council Fire Club has played host to numerous events, including PGA TOUR events and an NCAA Championship. The course will be playing as a 6,234-yard par-72 for the tournament.
3. The Tournament: This is Wisconsin's first time playing in the Chattanooga Classic which has been hosted twice in the past. Last year the tournament was won by ETSU with an 887 (+23). Wisconsin will be starting Sunday at 8:30 a.m. paired with South Florida and Yale.
4. The Field: This 20-team field consists of Central Arkansas, Chattanooga, Colorado State, East Carolina, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Indiana, Iowa, James Madison, Middle Tennessee State, Murray State, North Florida, Old Dominion, Samford, South Florida, Southern Miss, UTSA, Wisconsin and Yale. Competing for Wisconsin is Chloe Chan, Nicole Ciskowski, Mackenzie Hahn, Vanessa Ho, Camille Kuznik and Emily Lauterbach.
