Badgers lights earn first gold medal finish in four years
WORCESTER, Mass. – Wisconsin lightweight rowing posted three good results at the Eastern Sprints regatta against some of the best programs in collegiate crew.

The varsity four boat produced the best result by finishing first in 7:32.221, in a race that featured Harvard-Radcliffe, Princeton, Boston University and Georgetown.
Â
"It was a week full of unexpected challenges, but in the moment, the Badgers rose to the occasion," said women's lightweight coach Hadzo "Hodge" Habibovic. "We were able to claim the first Eastern Sprints gold for the program since 2018, which is a great step in the right direction."

The Badgers also competed in the novice four competition posting a time of 8:00.991 to finish third.
