Former Badger returns as women's soccer assistant coach
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin head coach Paula Wilkins announced Thursday that former team captain Becca Harrison has accepted an assistant coaching position and will return to the Badger bench.
Harrison joins the Badgers with coaching experience at the club and high school levels, serving as a group director and coach with the Fusion Soccer Club in Plymouth, Minnesota, and also as an assistant coach at St. Louis Park High School.
During her playing career in Madison, Harrison received the Big Ten Sportsmanship award in 2017 and was named to the Big Ten's All-Academic Team three times. She graduated from UW in 2018 with a degree in neurobiology.
Harrison also has experience working as an educational support professional at Maple Grove Middle School and as a concussion research specialist at UW-Madison.
"I am thrilled to return to Madison to give back to the program and university that shaped who I am today," Harrison said.
Harrison is taking over for Marisa Kresge, another former Badger, who recently became head coach for the Illinois State University women's soccer team.

"We are excited to add Becca to our women's soccer staff," Wilkins said. "She was an integral part of our program's success as a player, both on and off the field, as she was a part of two Big Ten championships. She truly knows what it takes to be a successful student-athlete at the University of Wisconsin. Her knowledge of the program, her ability to relate to players and her soccer IQ makes her an excellent addition to our staff."
