Three-time All-American joins UW staff
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Mick Byrne announced Thursday that Lindsay Crevoiserat will join the staff as an assistant cross country and track and field coach.
Crevoiserat (CREV-ois-er-rat) arrives in Madison after spending the last three years as the head cross country coach, and assistant track and field coach at UConn, where she oversaw the women's cross country teams and coached the men's and women's distance runners.
"I'm excited to welcome Lindsay Crevoiserat to our Badger staff," Byrne said. "During our hiring process, Lindsay's name kept coming up in conversations I had with trusted and respected coaching colleagues. She brings valuable experience as a collegiate Division I student-athlete coupled with coaching stints at UConn, Iowa State and Drake that will bring an additional perspective to our program. Our philosophies align and I'm confident she will elevate our student-athletes's experience."Â
"Wisconsin has a storied tradition of excellence in distance running," Crevoiserat said. "I am excited to have this opportunity to build on that tradition and continue to develop leaders on and off the track. The staff has been incredibly welcoming and I'm looking forward to working alongside them."Â
While at UConn, Crevoiserat led the Huskies to a pair of top-three finishes at the Big East Conference Cross Country Championships and saw her athletes break 14 school records. The 2020 USTFCCCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year, Crevoiserat coached four Big East champions and three runners-up and directed 28 all-conference performances.
Prior to her time with the Huskies, Crevoiserat spent a year at Drake where she was the assistant women's cross-country coach and distance coach. During her time in Des Moines, five Bulldogs collected all-conference performances.
She also spent time as a volunteer assistant at Iowa State, helping with coordinating travel for student-athletes and meet management for home meets.
Crevoiserat started her collegiate running career at UConn, where she led the 2012 Huskies' women's cross country team to an eighth-place finish in its first-ever appearance at the NCAA championship. She was a three-time All-American at UConn before finishing her collegiate career at Oregon and New Mexico. She also earned a masters degree in professional physical education and sports administration from the University of New Mexico after earning an undergraduate degree in business from Oregon in 2016.Â
