MADISON, Wis. – The first week of the 2022 Wisconsin men's soccer season proved eventful, and now the Badgers are getting recognized with junior forward Jack Finnegan named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.

The Hometown, Illinois, native struck for the first time this season during last Thursday's 5-0 win over Utah Tech and also helped set up a goal with a slick pass through the Trailblazers defense in that contest.

Finnegan added a brace on Sunday against No. 11 Tulsa, helping the Badgers grab a 3-0 lead before severe weather halted the action in the 68th minute, 75 seconds shy of the NCAA-required 70 minutes for a game to become official.

Finnegan and the Badgers return to action on Thursday with their first regular-season road test of the season at Milwaukee at 7 p.m.
