Swarens wins two while Johnson and Enz claim titles
MADISON, Wis.– The Wisconsin men's track and field team wrapped up the final day at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational in Iowa City with two event winners while at the Red Hawk Open in Ripon, Wisconsin, the Badger throwers won both events.

Colin Enz won the premier 400 meters in 47.78, ranking sixth in the conference this year.
Freshman Justin Kiefel finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 48 feet, 9 inches, ranking eighth in the Big Ten this season.

Freshman Giovanni Wearing placed third in the Premier 60-meer hurdles in 8.07.

In the Hawkeye Pro mile, sophomore Evan Bishop placed sixth in 4:05.81. Junior Jack Meijer ran a personal best of 4:06.67 to finish eighth while junior Rowen Ellenberg took 10th, running a personal best of 4:09.76.

In the Premier mile, freshman Pierce Seigne ran a personal best of 4:13.70, finishing 11th, while freshman Logan Measner followed close behind, placing 12th in a personal best of 4:13.78.

Redshirt senior Liam Belson placed sixth in the 800 meters in 1:55.35 while freshman Logan Measner finished 10th in 1:55.99.

Swarens wins two at Ripon

Redshirt junior Jason Swarens won the shot put and weight throw at the Red Hawk Opener.
Swarens claimed the weight throw with a personal best of 67-9, ranking him sixth in the Big Ten this season. Redshirt junior Cole Hooper placed second with a toss of 63-4 Âľ and sophomore Jacob Schaefer placed third, throwing a personal best of 55-11 ÂĽ.
Swarens also won the shot put with a toss of 61-6 ÂĽ, ranking him fifth in the conference this season

The Badgers continue their indoor season next weekend, traveling to two meets. Wisconsin sends select athletes to Champaign, Illinois, for the Illini Challenge on Friday and Saturday while other team members head to Bloomington, Indiana, for the IU Relays on Friday and Saturday.

Johnson, Enz win events at Iowa
Senior Lawrence Johnson won the 60-meter Hawkeye Pro final against several professional runners, crossing the line at 6.61 seconds. His time ranks first in the Big Ten this season and ties for eighth in the NCAA.Â
