Celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through service
MADISON, Wis. — To celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his dream of building the Beloved Community, Wisconsin Athletics is providing a number of opportunities for our staff and student-athletes to engage in elevating lives during the week of January 16th – 22nd.
Observed each year on the third Monday in January, MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. For the second year, Wisconsin Athletics is proud to celebrate a Week of Service, providing a series of community engagement opportunities during the week of Jan. 16 designed to connect student-athletes and staff with a chance to elevate lives in our local community.
