- Every single Wisconsin forward has scored in a game thus far in the season as
Katie Kotlowski tallied her first of the year.Â
- The Badgers' victory on Friday night marked their fourteenth-straight win against the Mavericks.Â
Straight from the Rink
Head Coach Mark Johnson
On the support he has had as he picks up his 600th career win:
"It's not about me. It's a number, obviously been around a long time, and I got great support staff. I got great assistant coaches. We've got a lot of good players and we've had a lot of good teams, and what I like is the relationship that we've created between our fans, the community and our hockey team. So, you know, 20-some years ago we had women's hockey, but today, a lot of people know and come and support a program."
On the team sharing the puck:
"If we're sharing the puck, moving our feet and playing at a certain pace and tempo, then eventually we'll end up getting some scoring opportunities like we did tonight. That's what I'm happiest about is the ability to share the puck."Â
Junior Marianne Picard
On the high-scoring offense:
"Right now we probably feel like we're on top of the world, but we gotta keep in mind that we're gonna play some bigger and stronger teams. I just don't want the team to get cocky… but right now it's pretty sweet."
On being able to prove herself after her injury:
"It's so special, especially since I am coming back from injury. I didn't play much last year because my freshman year I tore my ACL. It is the first time I can prove myself and it is so special with all the fans."
Up Next: The Badgers play their third-straight home series as they take on Bemidji State next Friday and Saturday at LaBahn Arena. Puck drop for Friday's game is set for 7 p.m., while Saturday's game will begin at 2 p.m. Both games are sold out.Â
