Promoting Education Beyond the Classroom – Join the Pledge to Read like Bucky TODAY!
Madison, Wis. - We are excited for yet another season of the Book it With Bucky program presented by TDS. From October to November, Wisconsin Athletics will celebrate and inspire young readers to foster a deeper appreciation for reading outside of the classroom.
This season, Wisconsin students in 6th grade or below are encouraged to take the 'Reading Pledge' and embark on a literary adventure alongside Bucky Badger. For every 30 minutes a student spends reading, a parent, guardian, or teacher can initial the 'Book It with Bucky' reading log. As a token of appreciation, Wisconsin Athletics is delighted to provide complimentary tickets to a future sports event for each and every student who takes the pledge.
Before the future game, Wisconsin Athletics, in collaboration with TDS, will host an exciting pre-game celebration where students can exchange their completed reading logs for an array of exciting prizes!
Wisconsin Athletics invites all young readers to share their reading journeys, favorite books, and memorable reading moments on social media using the hashtag #BookItwithBucky. Your stories could be featured on the Badgers Give Back instagram, inspiring fellow readers.
As an added bonus, engaging interactive reading activities will be accessible every other week, beginning in October and continuing through the end of November. For those who take the pledge, exclusive emails will provide access to 'Book It with Bucky' content, including bookmarks, reading worksheets, certificates, and more!
