COLUMBUS, Ohio – The top-ranked Wisconsin women's hockey team dropped its first contest of the season, falling 3-0 to Ohio State on Friday night at OSU Ice Rink.Â
The Buckeyes took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period and controlled play, outshooting UW 14-6.
In the second period, OSU tacked on two quick power play goals, capitalizing on a five-minute penalty by the Badgers.Â
The Badgers had several solid chances in the third period, but were unable to find the back of the net and suffered their first loss of the 2023-24 season.Â
