1. BADGERS REMAIN PERFECT
The Badgers are now 10-0-0 after a home sweep against Minnesota State Mankato this past weekend. Wisconsin put up 12 goals across two games, a the most in a home series this season.
During Sunday’s game, eight Badgers each scored once to shut out the Mavericks, 8-0. Junior Cassie Hall scored her tenth goal in ten games, while sophomore Hannah Halverson scored her first goal of the seaon.
This is the third season in a row in which the Badgers opened their season 10-0-0, and the fourth time in the last five seasons.
2. WCHA HONORS
Senior forward Claire Enright scored in both games of the series against Mankato, garnering her first and second goals of the 2025-26 season. Enright also collected three assists.
This week, the Farmington, Minn native was named Forward of the Week by the WCHA. This is Enright’s first time earning the distinction.
In her career as a Badger, Enright has notched 36 goals in 90 games. She's the second Badger to be named Forward of the Week this season, joining Kirsten Simms.

Wisconsin has a long history of notable battles with the Golden Gophers. The Badgers are 58-57-16 against Minnesota and have a win streak of 10 against them. Last season, Wisconsin defeated Minnesota in all six games the teams played against each other.
Wisconsin last faced Minnesota in the 2025 NCAA Women's Frozen Four semifinal, which the Badgers won 6-2. Laila Edwards collected her second hat trick of the season while Caroline Harvey, Kirsten Simms, and Casey O’Brien scored the other three goals for the Badgers.
The teams met up in the Frozen Four in 2023 as well, where Harvey scored a game-winner for a 3-2 Badger victory in overtime.

4. ABOUT THE GOPHERS
The Gophers most recently swept No.4/5 Minnesota Duluth to bring their record to 9-1-0. The one blemish in UM's schedule came from a Oct.18 matchup against No. 2 Ohio State, where the team lost 4-1. Minnesota has also faced Bemidji State, Boston College, No. 13 Boston University and No. 10 St. Cloud State.
The Gopher’s leading scorer, Abbey Murphy, has 14 goals and eight assists in 10 games this season. Murphy is part of Team USAs Rivalry Series roster, along with five current Badgers - Lacey Eden, Laila Edwards, Caroline Harvey, Ava McNaughton and Kirsten Simms.

5. WEEKEND PROMOTIONS
On Friday’s game, fans are encouraged to dress up for Halloween. There will be a kids costume contest and candy handed out.
Minnesota and Wisconsin will be wearing green ribbons over the weekend. The green ribbons are meant to raise awareness about mental health - a tradition the two teams have participated in for several years. Ribbons will be handed out to fans during Saturday's game.
