GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 12 Wisconsin women's and No. 20 men's swimming teams wrapped up competition at the U.S. Open on Saturday night. Wisconsin had three swimmers earn Olympic Trials cuts. On the week, the Badgers recorded six Olympic Trials cuts and picked up a third-place combined team finish.
Standing out for the Badgers was captain and senior
Phoebe Bacon, who placed fourth in the 200 back with an Olympic Trials cut of 2:11.02.Â

On the men's side, Dominik Mark-Torok had the highest placement on the team, coming in tenth in the 200 fly in 1:58.86.

Other Top Finishers
In the 200 breast,
Hazal Ozkan came in 18th with a season-best time of 2:33.28. Mackenzie Mconagha came in 17th in the 200 fly with a 2:15.25.Â

On the men's side,
Andrew Benson led the Badgers in the 100 free, coming in 66th in 51.04, followed by
Luukas Vainio, who placed 70th in 51.18. Tai Ormsby-Torepe came in 86th in 51.97.
