Two Badgers make United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

Baldvinsson and Bielic make second and third team
MADISON, Wis. – The United Soccer Coaches announced the Men's Soccer All-Region Teams for the 2023 season. Included in the North Region teams were Badgers Birgir Baldvinsson and Tim Bielic, who made the second and third team, respectively.
Neither Baldvinsson nor Bielic are strangers to awards this season. Both players earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors earlier in the year and each were recognized for their academic achievements as well, securing spots on the CSC Academic All-District team.
In addition, Bielic was awarded the Big Ten Sportsmanship award for the fourth time in his career.
Baldvinsson led all Badger defenders with two goals and five points, starting in all 15 games that he played.
Team captain Bielic started in 14 games, while matching his season-high in goals scored.
Bielic made the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team last season along with Maxwell Keenan.
