
Sixteen UW women’s rowers named CRCA Scholar Athletes

Honorees boast over a 3.5 grade-point average
MADISON, Wis. – A total of 16 Wisconsin women's rowers, including 11 openweight and five lightweight rowers, earned recognition as 2023 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athletes.
To qualify, an athlete must meet both academic and athletic requirements, including rowing in at least their second year of eligibility and maintaining an average cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher. Additionally, student-athletes must have rowed in their institution's NCAA or IRA (lightweight) eligible boats for a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or race in an NCAA boat at their conference championship or NCAA/IRA championship.
