75th season slate set for Wisconsin men’s hockey

Hastings’ era opens on Oct. 7 with Augustana, home Big Ten slate begins on Nov. 3 with Michigan

MADISON, Wis. – The Mike Hastings' era and the 75th season of Wisconsin men's hockey moved ever closer with the release of the 2023-24 schedule by the Big Ten Conference office on Monday.
Wisconsin's 36-game, regular-season slate includes 18 home games, as well as a pair of contests in Milwaukee. It features eight contests against 2023 NCAA Frozen Four participants and 18 games against 2023 NCAA Tournament teams.
As the weather cools down, the Badgers' home schedule heats up with 14 of the team's 18 home games taking place after Thanksgiving, and just one non-conference series at the Kohl Center over the semester break.
The next era of Badger hockey officially begins on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7-8 when Augustana visits for its first two games in program history.
UW returns home on Nov. 3-4 to play host to Michigan for the home Big Ten-opening weekend after the Badgers visit Minnesota for their Big Ten-opening series on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 26-27.
The first home series of the spring semester take place against marquee opponents Minnesota (Feb. 2-3) and Notre Dame (Feb. 9-10).
