2023 Badger Invitational Final Results

Kate Brody earns top honors for Badgers

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin women's golf placed second at the 2023 Badger Invitational at their home course, University Ridge.

This was Wisconsin's highest finish at Badger Invitational** since winning the tournament in 2011 and 2010. The Badgers last finished second in 2008. Overall, the Badgers have now finished in second place three times including runner-up finishes in 2006 and 2008, while winning the tournament overall in 1983, 2010 and 2011.

The Badgers carded a nine-over par (292-291-290=873) after the three rounds. Freshman Kate Brody led Wisconsin, shooting a one-under par to place sixth in just her second collegiate tournament.

South Florida garnered top honors among the field of 15, completing the invitational with a four-under par. View complete results of the 2023 Badger Invitational here (PDF).

Tuesday, September 19

Round 3

The Badgers shot a 290 (+2) on the final day of the Invitational to finish in second at their home tournament.

Brody yet again led the Badgers, shooting a two-under 70 with five birdies, including back-to-back birdies on Holes 5 and 6, and 16 and 17. Chloe Chan shot a one-under 71 for her lowest round of the Invitational.

Vanessa Ho carded a one-over 73 and Carly Carter shot a four-over 76. Alexia Siehl rounded out the lineup with a seven-over 79.

Camille Kuznik improved her score by three strokes to shoot a one-over 73 to once again lead the Badgers. Ava Salay carded a seven-over 79, while Gia Feliciano shot a nine-over 81. Yongze Cheng completed the round with an 11-over 83.

Monday, September 18

Round 2

Wisconsin carded a 291 (+3) in the second round of the Badger Invitational to place third.

Carter shot a one-under 71 with four birdies to lead the Badgers. Siehl and Ho each carded a one-over 73, with Siehl grabbing back-to-back birdies on Holes 3 and 4, and 6 and 7.

Chan carded a two-over 74, improving her score by six strokes, while Brody finished with a three-over 75.

Feliciano improved her score by eight strokes to shoot a three-over 75 and lead the Badger individuals. Kuznik shot a four-over 76 and Salay carded a six-over 78. Cheng finished the second day with a seven-over 79.

Sunday, September 17

Round 1

The Badgers started their home invitational off strong with a 292 (+4) to tie for first place.

Brody led Wisconsin in the first round, carding a two-under 70 with five birdies. The freshman's five birdies tied for first among all golfers. Carter and Ho both made par with four birdies each. Ho tallied back-to-back birdies on Holes 5 and 6, and 11 and 12.

Siehl shot a six-over 78, while Chan rounded out the team lineup with an eight-over 80.

Kuznik led the Badger individuals with a three-over 75 and Cheng tallied a five-over 77. Salay carded a six-over 78 in her first collegiate round, while Feliciano shot an eight-over 80.
