MADISON, Wis. – For its final non-conference series of the regular season, the No. 3 Wisconsin men's hockey team welcomes the Lindenwood Lions to the Kohl Center on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 12-13.

Here's six quick things to know before tuning in:

Men's Hockey Parking Info

1 - NINE IN A ROW:
Wisconsin's sweep at Notre Dame extends its current win streak to nine and marking its longest in 34 years since the last nine games of the 1989-90 season on the way to the 1990 NCAA title. There's only four win streaks longer than nine in school history, with the record of 12 set during the 1976-77 championship season.

On their quest to a nine consecutive victories, the Badgers took down Alaska Anchorage and swept Ohio State and then-No. 17 Penn State at home, earned victories against Air Force and Northeastern at the 2023 Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off and recorded a road sweep at Notre Dame.

2 - MOVIN' ON UP: After ranking No. 5 last week, the Badgers climbed in the USCHO's top-20 men's hockey rankings, jumping up to No. 3 in the Jan. 8 poll. The team received 854 votes, including five first-place ballots.

UW also checks in at No. 3 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll.

3 - FINLEY WINS GOLD: After representing the United States at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden, freshman Quinn Finley is returning to Wisconsin with a gold medal after his team upended Sweden in the championship game.

The forward finished the tournament with one goal and two points, tallying both in Team USA's 11-3 win against Switzerland in its second preliminary game.

Finley skated in all seven games and served as a key penalty kill player to help the team win the sixth World Juniors gold medal and 15th medal overall in United States history.

4 - HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS: This series marks the Badgers' first home games in over a month since the conclusion of their fall semester schedule when they claimed a 6-3 win over Penn State on Dec. 9.

UW will run promotions on both nights of the series versus Lindenwood. On Friday, Jan. 12, the Badgers will "Face-Off Against Cancer" with members of the UW Carbone Center being recognized during the game. J.D. McCormick is the official sponsor of the season-long "Face-Off Against Cancer" initiative and has pledged to donate $10 to the UW Carbone Cancer Center for every face-off won at home by Wisconsin throughout the season.

After the conclusion of the contest on Saturday, Jan. 13, there will be an autograph session on the concourse behind section 107. Expected student-athletes present for this second session of the season includes David Silye, Cruz Lucius, Quinn Finley, Charlie Stramel, Owen Lindmark, Jack Horbach, Owen Mehlenbacher, Mike Vorlicky, Anthony Kehrer, Brady Cleveland, Luke LaMaster and Kyle McClellan. This list is subject to change without notice.

The first 100 fans to pick up an autograph ticket on the concourse behind Section 107 when the gates open will be guaranteed an autograph. Fans who did not get a ticket can wait in the standby line post-game, but are not guaranteed an autograph.

5 - SCOUTING LINDENWOOD: Lindenwood, who competes independent of conference affiliation, currently has a 3-13-2 record. The Lions head into the series after a pair of home losses against No. 10 Western Michigan, losing game one, 3-2, and game two, 6-1.
