Richters claims first B1G weekly honor
MADISON, Wis. - Maia Richters claimed Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week following her game-winning goal against No. 9 Iowa.
In Thursday's game against the previously undefeated Hawkeyes, Maia Richters netted a goal in the 77th minute to put the Badgers ahead, serving Iowa its first loss of 2024-25. This was her first goal of the campaign following an assist at Providence in August.
Richters has started in all 14 games this season totaling 849 minutes on the pitch. The senior has played 77 consecuting games for the Badgers, starting in all of them.
