Badgers look to extend streak against Panthers

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin women's basketball team will host Milwaukee for a Dairy State showdown on Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Kohl Center. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. (CT), with the game streaming live on B1G+ and airing on 1070 AM radio.

Here are five things to know:

1. A Strong Start to the Season: The Badgers are off to a solid start in 2024-25, holding a 2-1 record after finishing 2023-24 with 15 wins—matching their total from the 2018-19 season. Wisconsin's depth is evident early on, with 12 different players scoring in the first two games. Leading the charge are Serah Williams (21.7 ppg), Ronnie Porter (18.7 ppg), and Tess Myers (9.7 ppg).

2. Last Time Out: Wisconsin fell to South Dakota State, 79-57, in its first road game of the season. Serah Williams led the Badgers with 19 points, while Ronnie Porter added 11. Lily Krahn tied her career high with two three-pointers for six points. As a team, Wisconsin shot 41.1% (23-56) from the field, 26.7% (4-15) from three-point range, and 58.3% (7-12) from the free-throw line. The Badgers also tallied four fast-break points.

3. History with Milwaukee: Wisconsin leads the all-time series against Milwaukee, 28-4, and has won four of the last five matchups. At home, the Badgers hold a commanding 18-2 advantage.

4. Scouting the Panthers: Milwaukee, coached by UW alum Kyle Rechlicz ('03) in her 13th season, is led by senior Kacee Baumhower, who is averaging 23.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. The Panthers are 2-2 on the season, most recently defeating Valparaiso 90-79. Milwaukee is shooting 45.6% from the field and pulling down 38.8 rebounds per game. The Panthers also lead the Horizon League in assists (18.8 per game) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.17), and rank second in three-point shooting with a 40.0% clip.

5. Looking Ahead: After Sunday's game, Wisconsin will host UIC at the Kohl Center on Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. (CT). The game will be streamed live on B1G+.
