Badgers break school record in 200 Medley Relay

Team of Wanezek, Ozkan, Bacon and Tierney set record a Texas Invite
Austin, Texas – Wisconsin completed day two of the Texas Invite with a new school record in the 200 Medley Relay on Thursday night.Â
The 200 medley relay team of Maggie Wanezek, Hazal Ozkan, Phoebe Bacon and Hailey Tierney broke the school record with a time of 1:35.04 and secured an NCAA "A" cut.Â
In the 400 IM, Callahan Dunn, Maddie Waggoner and Stella Chapman all clinched NCAA "B" cuts. Dunn's time of 4:07.64 ranks second in the top-10 UW list, while Waggoner's time of 4:13.97 ranks tenth.Â
Hailey Tierney grabbed an NCAA "B" cut in the 100 Fly by three tenths of a second with a time of 53.05.Â
In the 200 free, Blair Stoneburg missed out on a "B" cut by three one-hundredths of a second.Â
Hazal Ozkan and Bridget McGann both secured "B" cuts in the 100 Breast with times of 59.62 and 1:00.97, respectively. Ozkan's time ranks fourth all-time, while McGann's time ranks ninth.Â
In the 100 back, Phoebe Bacon had already claimed her NCAA "B" cut, but finished with a time of 51.02, along with her teammate Maggie Wankezek who finished with a time of 51.08. Mackenzie McConagha grabbed an NCAA "B" cut with a time of 52.95.Â
Up nextÂ
The Badgers will conclude the Texas and Georgia Invites on Friday. Prelims in Austin will kick off at 10 am, with finals beginning at 6 pm. In Georgia, dive finals will start at 9:30 am.Â
