MADISON, Wis. – After finishing the regular-season with a runner-up finish in the WCHA and a No. 2 ranking in the national polls, nine members of the Wisconsin women's hockey team were recognized with All-WCHA honors, the league announced on Thursday.Â
A trio of Badgers earned first-team All-WCHA honors in forwards

Lacey Eden were named to the All-WCHA Second Team while fellow forward
Laila Edwards took home third-team All-WCHA accolades. The freshman trio of forward

Laney Potter also collected WCHA All-Rookie honors. Wisconsin's nine honorees were the most of any school in the conference.Â
Harvey collected her first first-team All-WCHA honor after recording second-team All-WCHA as a freshman a year ago. The 2023 second-team All-American paced all WCHA defenders with 31 points this season thanks to five goals and 26 assists despite playing in 25 of UW's 34 games. The Salem, New Hampshire, native holds a +45 plus/minus rating that ranks second in the WCHA among blueliners and recorded a memorable game-winning overtime goal against St. Cloud earlier this month.Â
O'Brien earns her first All-WCHA First-Team honor after being named to the second team in 2023 and the third team in 2022. The center owns 56 points thanks to 17 goals and 39 assists and her 39 assists this season not only lead the country but rank ninth in school history. Thirty of her 56 points have come during the 2024 calendar year as she's led Wisconsin to a 15-1 record during the stretch. The Milton, Massachusetts, native has been stellar in the faceoff dot as her .593 clip ranks fourth among all league skaters.Â
The WCHA scoring champion, Simms leads all NCAA skaters this season with 61 points, good for a 1.91 points per game average. The Plymouth, Michigan, native has 27 goals, which ranked second in the WCHA, while her 34 assists also rank second in the league behind linemate
Casey O'Brien. Simms has a team-best 19 multi-point games and her seven game-winning goals this season are tied for the WCHA lead. It marks the second time Simms has earned All-WCHA honors as last season she was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team.Â
Curl earned her fourth career All-WCHA nod after earning third-team All-WCHA accolades in 2021 and 2023 and WCHA All-Rookie honors in 2019. The UW captain posted a career-high 51 points off 18 goals and a career-best 33 assists. Her +48 plus/minus rating leads all conference forwards and ranks second among league skaters while her 41 blocked shots are the most of any forward in the WCHA. The Bismarck, North Dakota, native enjoyed a 10-game goal streak, the longest in school history.
Eden picked up her first All-WCHA honors after posting a career-best 49 points on 24 goals and 25 assists in the regular season. A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Eden started the season off with a 10-game point streak, including her first collegiate hat trick against Lindenwood, which helped earn her WCHA Forward of the Month honors in September. The forward has enjoyed an impressive 16 multi-point games and currently leads the team in power play goals with nine, which ranks second in the WCHA. Eden ranks third in the league in goals, fifth in points and sixth in assists. She holds a +40 plus/minus rating, which ranks sixth in the conference.Â
A native of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Edwards earned her second All-WCHA honors after being named to the All-Rookie team last season. She put up 44 points this year on 15 goals and 29 assists. Edwards is tied for second on the team in game-winning-goals with four. Her most recent came in UW's 4-2 win over No. 1 Ohio State last Saturday and in a 4-3 overtime victory against Minnesota the weekend prior. She ranks fourth in the WCHA in assists, sixth in points and 11th in goals. Her +37 plus/minus rating ranks 11th in the conference.
Hall picked up all-rookie honors after earning WCHA Rookie of the Month in September and Rookie of the Week in early October. The South Lyon, Michigan, native appeared in 34 games and posted 24 points on 19 goals and five assists. The center started off her tenure with the Cardinal and White with a bang, posting a four-goal game against Lindenwood in September. Hall also holds a +32 plus/minus rating, which is the highest amongst WCHA rookies.
Murphy, a 5-foot-9 defensemen from Kitchener, Ontario, finished the regular season with 11 points on two goals, nine assists and a +28 plus/minus rating, which ranks fourth among WCHA rookies. The blueliner also has 20 blocked shots, including a pair in UW's win against No. 1 Ohio State last weekend. She started her collegiate career with a stellar showing on the road, recording three assists in a win over Lindenwood.Â
Potter earned her stripes as one of the WCHA's top shot-blocking rookies with 36. The Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, native holds 13 points on four goals and nine assists while holding a +25 plus/minus rating from the blue line. Potter was crucial in the Badgers' sweep over Minnesota, scoring a goal while blocking four shots. She had a two-goal performance in a win over St. Cloud State in early February as well.Â
The No. 2 Badgers open postseason action this weekend with a WCHA first-round series against St. Thomas at LaBahn Arena. Friday's game begins at 5 p.m., Saturday's contest starts at 4 p.m. and Sunday's game, if necessary, will begin at 4 p.m. Both Friday and Saturday's games are sold out, but fans can watch on Big Ten Plus or listen on The Game 1070 AM.Â
