Badgers tie for seventh at Big Ten Championships

Beckman finishes in 15th to lead UW
COLUMBUS, Ohio – After three days at the 2024 Big Ten Championships, the Wisconsin men's golf team finished tied for seventh at 64-over par.Â
The Badgers shot a 904 (290-303-311) at Scioto Country Club's challenging course. Jacob Beckman led the Badgers at the Big Ten Championships, finishing in 15th place at 12-over par after shooting a 222 (70-74-78).Â
Northwestern won the 14-team field as the Wildcats finished 23-over par with an 863 (280-294-289). They had four golfers in the top-10, including the individual winner, Daniel Svard who finished one-over par.Â
Blake Wisdom paced the team in the final round, shooting a six-over 76 to finish tied for 30th at 17-over par.Â
Beckman capped off the tournament with an eight-over 78, good for a 15th place finish (+12). Cameron Huss also carded an eight-over 78, which placed the senior tied for 26th place at 16-over par after three rounds.Â
Daniel Aas shot a nine-over 79 to tie for 39th (+19), while Coalter Smith finished tied for 64th at 26-over par after shooting an 11-over 81 in the final round.Â
Beckman once again led the Badgers, shooting a four-over 74 to tie for eighth at four-over par. The Middleton, Wisconsin, native currently leads the team in birdies with five.
Huss and Wisdom each shot a six-over 76, placing Huss tied for 18th (+8) and Wisdom tied for 33rd (+11). Aas finished out the round with a seven-over 77, bringing his total after two days to +10 (T27). Smith rounded out the lineup with a nine-over 79 to tie for 54th at 15-over par overall.Â
Beckman made par with three birdies in the opening round, placing him tied for fifth. Cameron Huss also cracked the top-15 as the senior shot a two-over 72 to tie for 14th.
Daniel Aas shot a three-over 73 to tie for 23rd, while Blake Wisdom carded a five-over 75 to finish out the opening round tied for 40th. Coalter Smith rounded out the lineup with a six-over 76 (T50).Â

Round 3
