Three Badgers named Big Ten Golfers to Watch

Beckman, Myers and Turtz recognized on preseason list
MADISON, Wis. — Three Badgers were named to the Big Ten Men's Golfers to Watch List, as announced by the Big Ten Conference on Thursday.
Jacob Beckman, Evan Myers and Spencer Turtz were each recognized on the list for Wisconsin, which features a total of 49 student-athletes.
Last week, the Badgers teed off their season competing at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate. Jacob Beckman finished in a tie for 42nd place at 7-over par (69-74-74=217), while Evan Myers finished T59 (76-70-75=221) and Spencer Turtz was T80 (76-76-75=227).
The 2024-25 golf season tees off this week for the expanded Big Ten, as the conference welcomed Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington on August 2. Four Big Ten squads were ranked in the preseason Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches Poll (No. 9 Illinois, No. 18 Washington, No. 22 Ohio State, No. 25 UCLA).
This spring, the Big Ten Men's Golf Championships (April 18-20) will unfold at Baltimore Country Club in Maryland, while the 2025 NCAA Golf Championships will be hosted for a second consecutive year at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
